If you are desirous of transferring, you register with the portal. Schools are free to contact you once you are registered on the portal. By registering on the portal, you are relinquishing whatever athletic money you are currently receiving from your current school. However, you still must be granted a release.
I've looked over the paperwork regarding the transfer portal and I am not seeing anything anywhere that REQUIRES the school to release the student-athlete. The school cannot prevent the student-athlete from receiving financial aid from the new school, but I see no indication that an immediate release is a part of this new rule. Can you provide the wording where the release is required?

In order to get to the WCWS and win, you have to have an elite pitcher.

In our history we have had five.

    Whitton, Hall, Longeway, Mitchell, Brignac

Unfortunately, Mitchell was injured when we went to OKC and Brignac was injured after her freshman year.

    This young lady is elite.

    d. does playing fall for one school then leaving affect eligibility?
    a. There are a few reasons. The two primary reasons are, some players wanted to follow Mike White to Texas, the other is the new coach has rubbed some players the wrong way and they don't want to play for her.
    b. Yes.
    c. Yes.

    1. Rankings (for recruiting purposes) are political and subject to vast subjective interpretation. Some people are suited to have success in college, some aren't.

    2. No.

Inside the top 4? I highly doubt it. We are without question the class of G5 softball...and it's not even up for discussion.
