Pretty close, but not due to coaching. Due to too man years of HUD. If he would have got his "big" job after his 2nd or third year, we'd have better talent to work with. Its going to take 3 years minimum to turn this program around. That's just where we are.

to those who are all hurt by the first half results. Alabama has done this to everyone this year so far, including Ole miss 49-7 at the half, and Ark State 40-0 at the half. it does not tell us anything about the level of talent we have right now or the coaching ability other than Alabama is truly #1. too many trying to use this game as some measuring stick of where our program is, or how many games we will win. as some has said our 2nd half out performed both ole miss who was outscored 13-0 and Ark state who was outscored 17-7, and they also faced Alabama 3rd, 4th, 5th, or scout teams, whatever yall want to call them. so maybe more people should feel better about our talent and coaching than suggesting our player are fcs level based on watching them against the #1 team in country.

its now time to start the part of the schedule that will tell us who we are as a team for this year. CCU game hurt us, but unfortunately that stuff happens early in a process of change.

Don't fool yourself, we would play virtually EVERY member of their 3rd team as starters on our team if we had them - every damn one of them on defense for sure.

We knew at the beginning of the season we lacked player talent. What we are learning is that the coaching staff has not added as much value as we hoped or expected.

Sure looks that so far. Hoping to see improvement.

By your numbers there are a minimum of 25 5-star players on their roster .

The emphasis stays on 5-star.

A 5-star Alabama scout should smash UL's 4-star players.

A 4-Star Alabama Scout should be able to demolish UL's 3-star players.

Alabama's 3-star players should be able to hang with UL's 2-star players.

Alabama's 2-Star scouts should smother UL's 1-star players.

Alabama's 1-star roster should beat UL's walkons.

UL doesn't have all their scholarships in use so I'm not going to mention Alabama walkons.

All except the freshmen scouts have more time under Saban than UL's entire team have under Napier.

Their scout team should have rolled over UL. But they didn't.

I can't emphasize enough "5-star" players on the scout team.

My takeaway from today. Ragas is a man.

Both Ragas and Mitchell are men. Ragas 6.9 YPC and Mitchell 7.7 YPC.
