We have our work cut out for us. Not saying it's a game we can't win but we better be good next Saturday.
We have our work cut out for us period, nothing will come easy for this team. We must execute better on offense, meaning putting some air under the ball when receivers get behind defensive backs and are open. The running backs doing a better job of picking up blitz and running hot routes.

Our technique on the defensive line needs to be much better and play discipline football (meaning gap control). Making plays on third down when the opponent is behind the sticks and getting off the field. I don't care who you are playing, not getting one stop on third, or fourth down and not making your opponent punt until 2:12 in the 3rd quarter is unacceptable period.

Hard to take positives away from an offense that only scored 1 touchdown against the 2nd string defense

UL scored every time it got in the red zone.

Now we know what is needed.

    "Get in the Red Zone."

Good analysis. Most frustrating thing for me was the defense never getting off the field in third and long.

Andre Nunez is on pace to finish the season with.....

77% completion. Would break previous record of 65% by T. Broadway.

240 completions. Would break previous record of 224 by J.V. Cleave.

18 TDs. Would rank as 5th best in history.

2,448 passing yards. Would rank as 6th best in history.

May seem sad, but I would actually take that at this point.

Nunez does some things well in the passing game, throwing crossing patterns, digs, slants and out routes well. He doesn't throw the fly, post or corner routes well. Which means we have problems stretching the field on defenses. Lewis is less accurate and he doesn't have a great arm for the deep routes either. Stats don't tell that story, but the video does.
