75? They must have let you clock in late! :-)

5:45 am till the wheel-a-brator on the incoming line shuts down. Think I had four 90 hour weeks in a row once. Something like $5.15 an hour. Bayou Pipe, where generations of CHS kids learned they REALLY wanted to finish college.

My Sr. year, I toyed with the idea of not going to college and just going work offshore. Well, my dad convinced me to not make a decision until after the Summer. I got a job with Meaux Services and spent the Summer after graduation 30 feet in the air, blasting and painting pipes at the Texaco plant in Henry.

    BRUTAL.

I enrolled at USL in the fall.

And you did a great job. The piping and vessels were shining on my way to work every morning all those years.

I worked at the Sea Robin plant across the street for a couple of summers during college. I walked many a pipe rack. Made enough money to pay college and apartment rent for the year.

No one is offended here. It's just when you make an asinine comment like "we should never sign a kid from CHNI because they are all entitled douches" and the school has actually been pretty good to the Cajuns considering the size. I like to take every opportunity to show you how much of an @$$ you really are. That was just a stupid comment and it continues to show that more and more each day.

I said average. The typical work week was 6 to 6 Monday - Saturday.

At some point in the 1970's Lafayette had the lowest unemployment rate in the country and Lincoln Nebraska was 2nd lowest.

An article in Lincoln made it sound like everyone in Lafayette owned their own helicopter with landing pads on their roofs.
