Thread: From "Will they even make the conference tournament?" to West Division Champs

In kids' minds these days any form of criticism is hate. And for many athletes, if you aren't apart of the lockeroom, you are on the outside. When struggles hit they quickly adopt a "us versus everybody mentality". It keeps them together. If they don't the team can fracture. I don't take it personally.

It will be all love by season's end.

especially with Lott finally coming around and living up to his presigning billing

    "Asking"

So were the players and coaches.

Anyone who wasn't "asking" wasn't paying attention.

I have no respect for that.

If this tweet bothers you, I tend to believe you didn't play, coach or help in some fashion. Good teams become tribal. It's just the nature of a 56 game grueling schedule, being around a family of 35.
I have zero problem with this tweet, mostly because the assertion was pretty stupid.

This mentality tells us something.. They're ready to fight to prove people wrong. Their own fans or anyone else out there doubting.. And I'm just fine with that..

    Let's go sweep the Hoax.

A question that was being asked within the athletic department.

I posted a similar sentiment in the Gameday thread. The only problem is actually tweeting it out. No reason to put it out on social media. Fans shouldn't take players Type A personalities personally. We want alpha fighters, we got it.

Anyone who watches SBC baseball, and not just the Cajuns, knew it would have had to be a complete collapse for this team to miss the conference tournament. Never ever did it cross my mind that we wouldn't be participating in the tourney..

If he comes back next year AND backs it up I will be fine with this. That question was a legit question in the first half of the season.
