Starter tonight was under 3. He finished tonight just above 3. Middle lefty is about 8. Third pitcher 2.09

The two starters left are low and upper 2's. All,other pen pitchers horrific era.

And Welsh is 10 strike outs in 6 innings good - against us. He proved it tonight

The game wasn't lost because of the bats. Coach left Williams in to long and he imploded. Batty didn't pitch well in his role. Both times the bats gave us the lead and neither freshmen could get the job done.

If you look at last night in an isolated way, yes, pitching let us down. We scored 7 runs and gave up 8. 7 should win.

We struck out 16 times. We left 7 risp. We can’t execute a gd bunt and waste a leadoff double in extra innings. Yes, pitching blew a 3 run lead. They’ve also been pitching under stress for 25 games now. That will wear on you.

We don’t know how maggard will approach this situation. Hopefully he and tony can see eye to eye and turn this thing around. But I don’t think for one second that maggard will let this thing spin out of control. There is too much money involved now.

My hope is maggard offers an incentive based raise to tony and gives him a budget to hire better assistants.

We have only won two games scoring more than 4 runs. We are not going to win any slug fests. I doubt we could win a sorority house pillow fight.
