In fact, he said something to the effect of, despite having 30% of the athletes remaining after early signing, a one-man team to start off with and shorthanded throughout, we accomplished much of what we would have accomplished and we're going to war with the people we've got expecting to win football games.

I’m ready to see this staff coach these kids up. some of these kids aren’t top teir talent but project well. I think skill wise we have enough coming back to be a good football team. With a little coaching we will be ok. We have the resources to develop players now more so than ever. Time to get after it now

Agreed and also a breath of fresh air to witness our head coach allowing “every” assistant to introduce hisself and speak about the kids and families they recruited. Wow what a novel approach! Every coach had a unique dynamic giving justification why Billy recruited them to his program. Another note of intersest; when speaking with Billy after the event last night, he said they would have 130 kids out at the start of practice. Obviously they are giving many local kids opportunities to make the team. He said you never know how good one can be two years from now...diamonds in the rough, maybe??

A couple of JC Defensive tackles and a Left tackle would ease that unease.....😆

And that recruiting class was rated by scouting services as the lowest rated of all of his classes.....which is why I've continually stated not to put all of your faith in those services....they don't pay much attention to the g5....which is beyond stupid.

Ringo was rated a 2 star with 70 points....the lowest point total for a 2 star rating....Hamilton a two star with 73 points.....both are still in the NFL....

That first class looks good in retrospect. At the time I remember being only cautiously optimistic. Much as I am now.

Player development is still far more important for us at this particular juncture anyway, IMO.

As a comparison to that 1st class yesterday's class had an average rating of 79.5.....and that's just yesterday's official signees....the Ole Miss DT transfer is a 4 star with 92 points. I'll stick with what my eyeballs tell me and having seen multiple video of each signee I'm good with this class.

I agree. Moncrief and Cordova are both kids who I expect to become forces in the middle. They will have to develop but they have a lot of raw talent.
