I bet PJ would do fine were he to play more. It's just that it is tough to get time when a guy who started at times in the SEC leads the team. He just needs to continue to work hard so he will be prepared when his time comes. I do agree that we don't need to disrupt chemistry on this team. I trust PJ (or Davis and Stalcup for that matter) has no plans of doing so. It has to be difficult on those guys considering they all played more a year ago. As long as they keep supporting all their teammates good things will continue to happen and they will reap the rewards as well.
Fan forums are not a good place for player parents unless they have thick skins. People on here are brutally honest and their opinion may or may not be correct. We are more concerned with the team winning than who gets playing time. PJ is a sophomore so if he hangs around long enough, he may get the opportunity to be the starting PG. In the meantime, we are enjoying a great season (so far) and I hope all of the players are enjoying it as well.
He'll be fine! Tough to transition from a contributor to a ? I agree, the chemistry is working well to say the least. I too am enjoying the success of the team. I think we can win with a number of combinations. Glad to see the Seniors experiencing the success as they have worked very hard and proven themselves worthy.
I agree that players, parents, and coaches would be better off not visiting here much. They have more invested in this than we do and frankly most of us don't know as much technically as they do. Players and coaches need to focus on preparing for games and having the team improve. Spending time here just takes away from that effort. Parents/family just need to focus on supporting their guy on the team.
I enjoy the fan forums. I will be just fine. Love to see what the fans are thinking/saying. Laughable at times. But hey, comes with the territory. This team is special!! Enjoying the ride like everyone else.
I think of PJ as a SG, not a PG. JMO
