A better goal is to win the conference tournament. At least that way you are assured of playing one more game!

He also got beat by teams that should not have done so several times. He got beat by Nicholls twice for example. If that happens here, we have a new coach. In fact I bet if one losing season occurs we likely make a change. I agree that it is disappointing we don't have a signature road win over a P5 in Coach Marlin's tenure. In fact the only one I remember in the last 20 years is the Jessie Evans team that beat Miss. State when Brad Boyd went off. Of course the very next game we lost to McNeese. Shows how the fortunes of a basketball team can quickly change.
How dare you use facts!!! Funny the ugly losses are forgotten. As will be the Clemson loss if the guys come back strong.

I remember Texas Tech came here and pounded us, don’t remember the coach.

    JK, enjoying your posts.

That was in November of 2000. Followed the tournament appearance in March of that year.

Leblanc kid who is the top rated kid in the state going to St. Johns.

The big kid from Madison Prep is going to Georgetown. Greg Williams, Jr. from LCA is the state kid going to St. John's.

And the top rated player in the state is Javante Smart from Scotlandville. He's going to LSU.

Both the regular season title and conference tournament title are team goals. You have a better chance of accomplishing the 2nd if you get the first goal.

I think Julien outplayed Smart when they matched up earlier in the year. I need to look that up to be certain however.

6'5 SF Kobe Julien (UL) and 6'9 PF Josh Leblanc (Georgetown) from Madison Prep, 6'4 combo G Javonte Smart (LSU) from Scotlandville, 6'3 SG Greg Williams (St. John's) from LCA, 6'2 PG Jared Butler (Alabama) from Riverside Academy, and 6'7 PF Randy Gladney (undecided) from Deridder are the top recruits in the state this year.

They basically make a full lineup/6th man if they would have all gone to the same school. Would be fun for that type of thing to one day happen at UL.

According to 247/Scout, the order is:
    1. Smart
    2. Butler
    3. Leblanc
    4. Williams
    5. Julien
    6. Gladney
