As far as I know...everyone who ran the department while I was there were honest. I still believe this whole cash in hand scam ran through Martin Hall...specifically through the office of one Edward Pratt. In both situations these guys were the fall guys. I knew Joey Dudley personally and knew he wanted out of that job badly. I can't say the same personally with Simon Broussard because I only met him in passing, but someone who worked closely with him echoes the same sentiments.

It’s well documented here I was a ticket writer. He was in charge of the entire department. While Paula Rice pretty much ran parking enforcement, he was the head man. Buses were also under his umbrella. Until it transferred to the infamous Joey Dudley.

Embezzlement I believe. I drove a bus for 4 years, which was my best job ever btw. We were some of the lowest paid student drivers in the country at 6.25/hr. We asked for raises for the longest time. When he got busted we all knew why we didn’t get them lol.

I was driver when Joey got busted. He was taking an unspecified amount of Cash out of the Parking Lot tills everyday. No telling how much money he got!

We got a raise after he got fired....lol

It really was the best job because you had the highest priority of scheduling classes.

It wasn't Parking & Transit funds he was stealing. It was the parking lot funds, all cash, that were going into the general fund. He used to give me money to go across the street at the Post Office and make money orders for him. I never thought different. The real dirty part of the whole affair is how many guys in Martin Hall were also in on it. Because they only proved $50,000 of it, and that was not even a calendar year. It went on for several years. Not all of that went to Dudley. After the replacement to Dudley got caught for the same thing, and committed suicide, Dean Pratt retired the next day.

Once that happened, I knew the order to steal came from Martin Hall. No way an organization goes through that kind of black eye, and allows it to happen again exactly as it did before. Can't blame the guy for not wanting to be the fall guy, basically ruins your life.
