I certainly agree with that. And to your point, I think understanding is hard to come by these days. Check out Bickey's rant. Not to pick on him, but he actually does represent a popular way of handling things. I think jack said it best, the world of black and white. He didn't mean that in a race sense, if I'm reading him correctly. He meant leaving out the grey area, which truthfully, is where a big percentage of people operate. Life in the 21st century is MUCH more complicated than 200 years ago. There are moral issues that simply have become complicated. We've evolved as a people, and without losing our anchor in values, we need to understand all the nuances that are realities in culture and society at large today. Blanket statements are dangerous and only tell a partial story.
Let me give you a lesson in liberalism. I was not talking to Hawk directly with that statement I was speaking in general terms. Hawk is a very good textbook liberal as he doesn't take a stand he just name calls. Bicky said he thinks a male who impregnates a girl should man up and take responsibility. Bicky said he did not think a kid playing ball and unable to work could live up to the responsibility of a father. Hawk did not come back and say I disagree a young man can knock up a young lady and take no responsibility through marriage or financial support. Or he didn't say it is perfectly ok for him to prolong financial support until he is finished playing his game. He never gave his stance on the matter he just called bicky a racist for his belief. You see liberals don't take a hard stand on an issue as Bicky did they just name call and point fingers. Again Hawk is very good at the liberal game when he is in any kind of discussion on this forum he just calls names and avoids facts. So in a nut shell Bicky said young men nut up. Hawk called racism. Here are some other examples.
Trump said we must know who these Syrian refugees are before we let them in our country. As we all know ISIS vowed to infiltrate through them and get into the US. Liberals called racist because Trump wouldn't open the flood gates with Syrians. That is how the whole Trump is racist got started.
Planned parenthood kills 1000s of babies every year and have sold the tissues. They don't call it baby killing they call Womens health.
Trump bands travel from only 7 of the many Muslim nations in the world, only temporally until he can figure out who they are. Liberals say trump banded all muslims from US and he is anti all Muslims. They don't admit they want them to come in as they please unvetted, they just name call.
Trump wants to send illegal criminal immigrants home. Liberals say trump is anti immigration. They never use the word illiegal before immigration when describing who he wants to send back. They just say he is anti immigration.
My point simply was you can't really have a discussion with someone who never really takes a hard stance on their side of the issues, but instead just makes false accusations on the other persons character. We see liberals do this everyday in this country.
Textbook liberal...registered Republican. Sadly...you and Bicky are the reason Republicans are viewed as such a joke. Doesn't agree with my tunnel vision world view...Liberal. Doesn't accept every Republican as acceptable candidates...Liberal. I will not be called stupid and/or Liberal by a ____ing Trump supporter. Being stupider than a Trump supporter is like finding something that tastes worse than Kale. Can't happen. Doesn't exist. Switch back on Fox News...and let the indoctrination take you away.
I also find the majority of irresponsible adults are coming from much better upbringings these days. Why? Because these kids are being doted on night and day. Allowed to be emotional invalids, given no responsibility, and fulfilled their every wanton desire. They to me are the "demographic" that is leading to much more problems than the 80% of black people who have bad fathers (source Bicky).
All of your "I am right/you are wrong, I know dis and dat" attitudes and opinions have totally ____ed up this website.
I can agree, but anecdotal evidence points to morality moving towards the norm, more than standing pat. It's not about acceptance, it's more about staying relevant. Vatican II is a good example of this. Hell the pope is ok with gays now. Soon we will online churches, text message confessions or FaceTime, relaxation of certain issues that younger generations find implausible. It's just the way it goes.
