UL Football Fielding the NEW Swamp

Looks like the camera is set up to see this "transformation" real-time.

I think I remember someone saying that they planned to take some pictures every few days and that they would post them on ragincajuns.com. that was a few weeks ago, before I had heard that there would be a permanent camera. Is anyone still planning this? I will definitely have a look at the real-time camera every day, but those things are always pretty grainy. Plus, it would be nice to have individual snapshots every few days, kinda like a timeline.

If it nobody can do it or plans on doing it, no big deal. And actually, I'm sure it's something that the guys who keep up the site could do. I'm sure one of them has a digital camera and can go take a few shots from different angles, every few days, and then just take them back and download them to the site. Who should I contact about this? Is there a main person who runs/updates the site every day?

I just looked at the camera, and it doesn't look like any work is getting done today.

Yeah, and we were told work would begin on the 17th. Which is today.

Unless of course they are working on the other corner of the field that we can't see from the camera. But I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt, especially considering the Track & Field issues. YEEEEESH this University needs to get it together.

I figured you might see one or two people "surveying" the field; but didn't expect to see any "real" work getting done today. And I'm an impatient S.O....... (you get the idea).

Just took a look and there is some activity. There are a few more vehicles, some small earth movers and it looks like part of the turf has been removed.

Of course with Doc A in charge maybe we shuldn't get too excited about this. Tearing up the existing turf is one thing, putting down the artificial turf is another. The team might want to have a good supply of mud cleats available.
