It will be tough. One idea would be to look for rich people who have athletic kids that are not getting P5 attention. Most of these parents have invested big bucks to give their kids every advantage. Give the kid a full scholarship, give the parent full access to the program and ask him to help bankroll a better roster. It could be messy, but money always comes with strings attached.Quote:

I’ve seen the Brad Boyd comments a bunch of times and I can’t tell if people are trolling or if y’all really want him to coach the Cajuns.
Basically, the same guys who want to get rid of CMD are the same guy who want CBB....
Both are local guys who are legends at UL
Neither has coaching experience outside of HS and UL , of any note

I’m the opposite. I liked the CMD hire and hope he’s here forever. The Brad Boyd talk makes no sense to me right now. He’s not even currently on a college staff. Mike has been UL since he left high school. He’s the perfect guy to win here and stay here.Quote:

BB will be a winner wherever he chooses. We can get a man who has stated and demonstrated his goals are to make UL basketball relevant again. He’s already built a network of AAU coaches better than anyone else we hire.
CMD has already proven that he is capable of being a great head coach based on several criteria his detractors said he was weak in. Primarily recruiting of players and coaches.

Why does CMD apparently have an issue using the transfer portal to bring players in? It seems like, in today's college football world, you have to use the portal to some extent to be successful. I know we haven't lost as many impact players this year as last, but it's hard to always replace experience with freshmen.
