Could Hud theoretically add scholarship players to the team and they play against App State?
No. But the next coach will
I think they gonna give hud 1 more year with full scholarships. Not what I want necessarily but probably the right thing to do strictly from a win lose standpoint. To me when he called all the oil money that donated to the APC hypocrites, they should have made a statement to the big boosters and fired him then. You wouldn't have as many leave and you'd have just cause.
The cold mountains of north carolina hopefully will end our hot mess of a football program. I personally feel that a decision has been made by Maggard. The big cheese T Slow is waiting for final game for added justification for termination for 3 straight losing seasons.
Guys, its like this..
The same man who caused the penalties, can not then use the penalties as justification for losing.
Just in the same way that the man who insults the fanbase can not be the same man that tells the fanbase we need to "come together".
Lafayette, Louisiana: The only place in America where the customer is WRONG.
From day one I’ve contended that he knew exactly who he was hiring. He hired a guy that he didn’t have to give orders to cheat. Plausible deniability for him. He just thought he’d be on a fast track outta here before they got caught.
Yes, he’s absolutely responsible for schloraship losses. No it’s not just fair to let him have another year now. His record is his record including vacated wins. He’s got a losing record.
How would lifting the sanctions help him in any significant way next year, especially with his track record of bringing in talent? Seems they'd have to give him a couple more years at least if that was what they were planning.
Micromanagement of staff. Lost several coordinators.
Loss of Rebowe severely damaged recruiting.
He knew full well what Saunders was about when we hired him.
That s-show caught up with us, and here we are today.
We gave him all the tools to do the job denied all previous coaches, and he has failed.
End of the story.
He should be held accountable for the overall climate of the program. This includes losses, Trump bashing in the locker room, insulting the fans' character, no continuity at quarterback, arrests (and benching said players in week nine for something that happened at the beginning of the season), empty stands despite incredible (and successful) efforts to enhance the game experience, and others I'm sure I forgot to mention.
On the field is only part of the issue, and none of the above has anything to do with probation.
On the field, we gave up 66 points to a team that won 2 games. We wouldn't even be sniffing 6-6 had SLU kicked the extra point instead of stupidly going for two. We got destroyed by a 2 win team with an interim coach on senior day with a bowl berth on the line, and the team's body language said they couldn't care less.
Sanctions aren't our problem.
He did what I feared weeks ago.
He wasted a guy's redshirt trying to save his own arse.
Simply stating the university should stay away from the sanctions publicly. The NCAA has done crazier things to programs like ours. I’m personally in the camp that hud doesn’t cheat anymore than any other coach he just got caught. He probably is cleaner than most honestly. Everything else is why it’s time for him to go. I️ personally didn’t think there was a chance it would happen this year and it still might not but I think hud is Gone this year and he has already been told. No direct info, just a feeling from listening to several different interviews and hearsay.
