My goodness...this team is going to be scary good. If we can parlay all this momentum into another Super Regional berth...we might be looking at Rice level for the next decade.
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
Can you remember a time when such decorated ball players were coming in on a regular basis? This year and last have been incredible.
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
Coach Robe has the momentum of the baseball GODS!!! So excited about how we are becoming talent rich to the point we don't rebuild, just reload.

Image when we do rebuild, the stadium that is.
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
Coach Robichaux sealed the deal with me while talking to him today. He truly is a great man and someone that any baseball player would want to play for. I can’t wait to play for not only a great coach, but a great man!” - Caleb Armstrong
I am soooo glad Coach Robe re-upped and that he is OUR head coach... All things considered... not just on the field.... we have the best coach in the nation
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
The success on the field and in recruiting has to be energizing for him as well.
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
and whats most important, he is not looking to jump ship no matter what success comes his way. Robe is truly a UL MAN !!!!!
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
No coach on the planet deserves & has earned facility upgrades more than Tony.....he needs to be throwing that 1st pitch in his new Baseball Temple sooner vs later. We are blessed to have him.
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
The question must be asked...does Tony retire if the renovations to the Tigue fall through a second time?
Re: New UL Baseball Commit
No, he has already stated he is not going anywhere until the ball park is upgraded.

Just my opinion, but I think a lot more about "Tony" himself and the program he runs has been advertised the last year and a half. I think that has a lot to do with recruiting as well. Parents are more content with their kids here than signing a minor league contract. jmo

You are probably right on several levels. A parent can convince their son that he can come to UL, get a college degree, play baseball at a very high level AND be molded into a MAN by THE Man! Or, he can sign a small, minor league contract, get treated like a piece of meat and chewed up and spit out by the organization and have only about a 1% or 2% chance of making it to the Big's. Then after playing in the minor leagues for a few years, come home and try to figure out what to do with the rest of their lives.
I kind of like Option #1!!!
