Same here, but in the chemical business. Stuff we were paying 34 cents per pound last year is now $1.35 per pound... and that is if you can even get it.
Customers do not want to hear it. They say it too expensive and do not buy the product. Then a day or two later they call back and place the order (after calling other vendors and realizing it isn't us jacking up the price). It's a tough time to do business.
Wait until meat products next year…this year’s grain hasn’t come into play yet.
I know someone who would know. I'm not going to say much, but cajun4life seems to know what I know. The delays are due to obvious things we've all discussed here: a dramatic increase in material and labor costs, and not enough money raised to account for that increase. We have legitimate paths available to us to close that financial gap, but those paths involve bureaucracy, red tape, and persuading the right people.
The stadium will absolutely happen. 2024 seems realistic.
