What I’m saying is, last night, those guys played one of the worst games I can remember watching in conference. Sloppy, no communication, couldn’t buy a bucket, couldn’t finish at the rim, zero perimeter defense, looked slow and tired.
Cajuns had a little something to do with that, but a lot of their performance was self inflicted.
You are 100% correct. App State had a bad game. I like the Cajun team. I was especially impressed at the performance without Gant. But make no mistake... App State is not a great team. Their #1 is a stud... but they didn't look well coached last night. They suck at rebounding... by being out of position and not hustling. There's plenty of space to give both the Cajuns a lot of credit... and to limit the applause by a terrible App State performance. I think App State is ok... but they played like a Div 3 program last night. I checked out their schedule and results before going to the game last night... and that had to be their worst game this year. Blowout = 50% credit to the Cajuns + 50% credit to a poor performance on App State.

Georgia trip is a good 5 weeks away... so hopefully back by then.
GEAUX CAJUNS!
Honestly Diehard? Is there a single game in there that you're dreading? Not me, every game in the next five weeks is a probable win barring additional injuries.

Boy, was I wrong! Didn't see this coming. Holding a team to 17 points at the half and leading by 29 was not what I was expecting to see! And, all of this without Gant! Hope he gets back soon.
On the other hand, nice to see the best crowd of the year at the dome; 4,329.

You're sure you are not worried about them being distracted by the conference tourney?
Joking!
I agree, I have seen nothing so far that doesn't say we are the best team in the conference. We need to act like it and take care of business.

For what it's worth, in the pregame interview, when Jaybird asked Marlin about Gant's absence last night, he responded quickly and confidently that they weren't going to let it slow them down or alter the gameplan. Looks like his confidence in the team's response was correct.

Good post there. However, in today's environment it may be quite awhile before a "name" team comes to the Dome again. I am not sure I will be alive to see that happen. I have been out of town for a week and was not able to follow the last three games closely. From what I have read, the defense/rebounding in two of the three games has been suffocating. That will need to continue for the team to have success. That is especially so with Gant being sidelined for quite awhile. I will make one prediction. First loss that occurs will see a little negative over reaction. That happened after the Clemson game and I was somewhat guilty of it myself.

Have you tried the All Access platform?

Fyi, every remaining men's game and all but one of the ladies is available to be steamed online from the host institution web site or ESPN3.
See my calendar for details.
