I think that we have touched upon or come very close to the problem with the/an entire athletic department if not the entire university-------I think we are stuck on loyalty and friendship---let's face it ---Cajuns are pretty much loyal in both giving and receiving---Because of this we have a huge amount of internal hiring within the institution of our graduates or employees kicked upstairs---Hello PETER PRINCIPAL----At the top we have Rougeau, Dr. Aut, and now T-Joe--I am not knocking but just facting----We had Ads like Toby, Sonny Roy, Nelson and D Walker-----Now I am a believer in intrinsic motivation and the price we can get these people at but it is a fact and I think that because of this we have a really hard problem in letting go of some employees!!! Can some of you give some names of outside people in our administration and athletics???? Terry Don, the Halls, Stokley, Gary Marada,I know for a few but add on please!!!!!

Wow... I hadn't checked out the site in a couple of days. After reading all of this thread's posts... including Jay's apology... I mean "I shut up now" blog... I had to go fix a Maker's on the rocks to clear my head. I actually got so consumed with this latest radio versus paper warfare that I nearly forgot how furious I am at our management. Good try you guys... good try.

I have successfully concluded absolutely nothing of value from this exchange... however, being that I did not witness first-hand any of the written or verbal accusations involved (nor the coach tantrum)... I feel exceptionally qualified to post something... as apparently is the case with most of the rest of you.

Here goes... Everyone has an agenda... and none exceed... for the purposes of this forum... the need for our athletic department to get its monsterously sluggish ass in gear. If you are helping to stoke the fire under the UL management's a sses... then keep it up... if not... you s u c k.

Jay Walker is simply an apologist for the athletic department. There is no "reporting" of any objective quality when it comes to UL. It seems that he is far more interested in being pals with the coaching staff. His rudeness and unprofessionalism are merely tiresome.
There are much better ways to get UL athletic news and I reccomend that folks try them out. Oh, and Don Allen would be a most welcome breath of fresh air.

Honest question to all who are bugged by the way Jay treats callers: do you still listen? If not, then it doesn't bug you as bad as you think it does. Just sayin

if another station would start a 4-6 pm sports talk show with DA hosting, it would kill KPEL and perhaps inspire some changes...without competition BOP can continue his boring sarcastic attitude
