T-Bine, did we break some kind of record for guys left on base???
We were last in AB's, hits and runs in the league. We had 455 hits and the top 3 teams had 524-565 hits. We are basically 100 hits from being competitive. Our most prolific hitter had 64 hits, while the least skilled 3 regular batters had 30-35 hits. We need to find 80-100 hits and they will need to come from more than one new player, imo.
EDIT: We are probably "1" Lucroy away, but two or three normal all-conference candidate types away from being good. The good news is we know what we need.
For those not familiar, plate appearence = at bat + walks + hits by pitch + sacrifices + awarded 1B due to obstruction, interference and a couple of other rare occurances. The difference is about 5 per game, which appears average. Although we were 2nd to last in walks.
Impressive numbers on hold. Lucroy breaks hand in hotel room. Suitcase falls on hand. Wife involved.... Socks involved.... Bed involved.... News at 11. Hey, if CNN can blow things up, I can too.
he's a headline on yahoo right now-actually the very first headline, they call out his wife
