Former Cajuns and current Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy headlines a list of alumni who will be in attendance at Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball Fan Day this Saturday at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field. Gates open at 11 a.m.
</center> PHOENIX -- How did Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy wind up behind the plate? He credits his dad for making the call.
"He told me I was the only one who wasn't scared to go back there," Lucroy said with a smile. "Maybe I was the only one stupid enough."

Great read. And judging by the comments below, the Brewer fan base seems to love him too.
Went to an Astros game at the end of last season to collect interviews for my three-story Jonathan Lucroy package that ran in September.
Spent about 20 minutes with Brewers radio man Bob Uecker, who absolutely loves Lucroy and expects him to get a long-term deal with the Brewers soon. It says a lot about Lucroy for somebody with as strong of ties as Uecker to the franchise to voice so much public support.
Good news.
Congratulations Jon
Brewers and Lucroy agree to a 4-5 year contract extension taking him through his arbitration years.
"The Brewers have agreed to terms with catcher Jonathan Lucroy on a contract extension, reports CBSSports.com Insider Jon Heyman. Terms of the deal aren't yet known, but the team should make an announcement by Tuesday.
Obviously, the financial particulars will need to be known before the deal can be evaluated, but locking up Lucroy makes sense in theory. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com pegs it as a four- or five-year deal, which would potentially buy out all of Lucroy's arbitration seasons. As for the total value of the extension, a good guess is somewhere between $10-12 million. "

Well deserved and big congrats to the Lucroys
I agree with that way to go Jonathan.
