I'm 52, and if I didn't need a smart phone for work, I would just have a flip phone as well.

Still waiting on the answer as to how will walk ups be handled at the ticket gate.
The vast majority of people don't have a problem with mobile tickets. It is the lack of connectivity that is the problem. This goes way past tickets as well. For the younger generation who grew up with a phone in their hand it is a problem when you basically take that away from them for 3+ hours. It should not be difficult to understand that many people, in particular students, are not sticking around long without service.
If you look at news articles about new stadiums built around the country you will often see info about how much work and money they are putting into cellular/wifi systems. With 5G systems becoming more and more common this should be something that can be rectified.
By the time we have bigger phone and keys in pocket how will we have room to hide a flask
Or eliminate wasted labor hours on hiring staffing service workers. They just stand and do nothing. They should have two at the gate to check bags, etc and that is it. If you are in someone else's seat they will tell you to move anyway, no staffing person is needed for that.

From what I am hearing is some folks are going to be dropping season tickets in every sport because of this. This is the last thing UL needs dedicated season ticket holders to do.
Why do people all think anyone over 60 is a Luddite and hates technology. I have been using mobile tickets since they first came out without a problem. Never had a problem getting a ticked scanned and most of the time decent cell service. Maybe you young whipper snappers need to keep up and get rid of your IPhone 6.
In the past you could use electronic (which I don't mind) or go by the Cajun dome and have them printed. I thought this was the best of both worlds.
I read this is going to be for the athletic year. I will be curious to see how this works for baseball as many people in patio and loge suites split the tickets. For instance we have 12 tickets in our loge suite 4 guys get 2 each and one guy gets 4. Every year I divide the tickets into 12 stacks with all the games in each. With a mobile ticket will we be able to divide the entire season into 12 individual tickets and distribute before the season starts? I have never used a mobile ticket not sure how they work?
