Re: Elijah McGuire Is Considering Going Pro: Is He Ready?
Without question a very accurate assessment of his abilities and projected draft status. The NFL may understand more about Elijah's abilities than we give them credit... but I'm still doubtful. I seriously believe he needs another year, with Hud being a smarter coach, of having an NFL role for the Cajuns. He shouldn't be the ground and pound back. He should be the key feature of a sophisticated run and pass system. If I were Hud, I'd prove to Eli that I'm not a knothead... and I won't just run him into a traffic jam. I'll place him in open space, with intelligent deception, and let him do what he does best... and it will be very much what he'll be tasked with in the NFL. That will help raise his draft stock value.

I'm of the opinion the use of the Prophet as though he was Zo was bone headed move before the first handoff. That and misuse of Haack and Nixon really killed my faith in Hud.

If I recall you wanted Nixon at the Q spot from the outset. Am I right?

I agree with everything up to "...KILLED my faith..."
Starting with last season, SEVERAL misuses of talent have certainly "DAMAGED" my faith.
After next year, I pray I do not need to resurrect and slightly alter my "Bustle Must Go" theme from '09-'10...
Re: Elijah McGuire Is Considering Going Pro: Is He Ready?
Fenroy did not even get a cup of coffee in the league. Seems like accomplishments in the college game don't count for much.

----Not completely---I wanted what the coaches felt our best chance to win was---After seeing some performances I thought we should have stayed with Nixon---No doubt that the offensive line had some problems and that hurt the zone read, but thought our best performances were that of Nixon---and that the ability of Haack was not that of what so many people on here thought---Please don't blame the stat of more interceptions than TDs on the coaches----Thought Haack and Nixon both did a good job along with Davis of competing for the position---and with that, I nor do I think anybody on here, knows the true reasons for this year's decisions!!! Please let this stuff die on here until say Spring Training!!!
