Uh oh. I hope he stays. But obviously his decision.

I wonder how much this has to do with him being constantly misused this season. I know I'd be pretty frustrated by trying to be something I'm not just for Hud to prove a point.

I love him to death. But being frank, he's wasting his time this year, at least from an on-field football perspective (there's no figuring of other motivations, like unhappy at school, frustrated with coaches/role, needs money for family, doesn't want to risk injury, etc.) Especially in today's NFL that has next to no value on the running back position. He's electric and shifty. He's got the frame to at least be a 3rd down back. But he's constantly dinged up and he's not going to be a workhorse, which is the only type of guy you'd take in a round of the draft worth coming out early for (say rounds 1-3). He's also not a special teams standout. He could be a mid-to-late round pick, but the advisory committee is going to tell him what I just said. Can't blame him for gathering information, and I legitimately hope they tell him he'll go in round 1 and he makes me look like an idiot for writing what I just wrote, he's one of my all-time favorite players, and I love the way he carries himself on and off the field. But I'll be shocked if he's not back in 2016.

I have always said that his position would be slot in the NFL----He is as good as any receiver that I have ever seen at UL----His timing and leap on receptions is incredible, so much like 'Stokley being a former basketballer-----He is so tough in space and the only negatives could be blocking------ and although he always seems to be running away from guys, I am not sure of his speed!!!

Tinfoil hat time...you think he is trying to make a point to someone? More importantly...someone who used him incorrectly on purpose to prove a point of his own? He doesn't seem like the character kind of guy who just pouts and sits in the corner. Anyone with half a brain (makes me worry about Hud) could tell beyond the shadow of a doubt that Elijah was incredibly frustrated most of the season. In addition...most everyone with half a brain was questioning why he was used in such a way...KNOWING FULL GODDAMN WELL that was not his strong suit. Here is hoping this Elijah's way of holding up a big sign for Hud that says "stop being such a dumbass".

    Picture this.

An air-raid spread offense. Really spread the field and our OL. 4 wideouts, 1 RB.

Eli at RB. Sometimes, Eli IN THE SLOT with Pierce or Riles at RB. Quick handoffs and quick throws from the QB.

Maximize your skill people and minimize your reliance on the OL.

Eli and our offense would have FLOURISHED with this. It would have been lots of fun to watch for sure.

I told you guys earlier that he made it clear through social media of his frustration throughout the year. good for him. he will work out just fine in the spread offense such as Green Bay,New England or Arizona

Yup.. Even the prophet realizes that Hud will destroy his future career using him as a full back. The prophet has been a class act for Cajun Nation and he knows its time to get the hell out of dodge.

This season was a total train wreck, I can't blame him. I don't think he will be high enough of a draft to leave this year. I think and hope he returns.
