I don’t think it has to be posted 30 days.
This is accurate
There is NO REQUIREMENT for any sort of “minimum 30 day posting”.
The hire is based on “best qualified” and can be announced immediately after that “best qualified is interviewed and selected by the selection official (who I assume is either Maggard or MD)

Think of it this way, we brought in good coaches before, and I am optimistic this will help us bring in future coaches.
One of the things I remember about Billy’s first hires is they were all good recruiting coaches who were in particular close to Louisiana and East Texas. He kept stressing about the talent available in a four hour drive. Then he locked down Juluke, a brilliant move.
In the interview with channel 10 Des said he needed 5 position and strength coaches. He had a firm commitment from 4 and the 5th was trying to get free whatever that means. After that the next thing are the support staffing for the position coaches. I’m optimistic he’s going to get it right.

I doubt it with the health of his younger kids.

6 hour radius from Lafayette was the main recruiting blueprint.

Greg Roberts - Louisiana (Saban Coaching Tree)
Doug Belk - Houston (Started as GA under Saban)
Jessie Minter- Vanderbilt ( Baltimore Ravens CB Coach)
Mark D'Onofrio- Houston (Miami U DC 2011-2015)

Can’t say I have a dog in the hunt. Do you think he’s up at the top of the pecking order of candidates? I kinda assumed Neighbors after the bowl game. Lamar and mike played together? Right.
Re: Defensive Coordinator
Bruce Feldman just reported that Lamar Morgan will be the new DC

Man I would have never thought that the dude I sat next to all semester in business systems class who would draw offensive plays all during class would one day end up our DC. Pretty awesome. Geaux Lamar!
