Just out of curiosity will your contribution put in big dent in the cost?

I hope they concentrate on football before another brick goes into baseball. A new football venue might just be the buzz needed around town to get people interested in Cajun football again.
The RCAF Booklet is very well done. It even made me up my contribution a tad. Couldn't do much more, but I squeezed a little more blood out of the turnip! LOL!!! Looks like the new RCAF Director is trying to get serious!
You are correct. I didn’t say don’t take their money. But what I saw was an RCAF pamphlet. The RCAF fund raising right now should be all about football. If someone wants to walk in and give 7 mil for the club house take it and let him know you’ll start as soon as we get our most visible part of our athletic department done. It’s only about 5 years past due now. Should have been the first thing done and I think Dr Maggard has said as much.
I would imagine with just a job the size of our football project that will be about all the construction staging and traffic that area can handle at once.
Plenty of room to accomodate it all. And any people/companies contributing substantial money to either project are more than familiar with what is needed across the board. Delaying anything with baseball will do nothing to help football. This is really a non issue anyway as this is more about a perceived issue on a fan forum than a real concern for the athletic administration.
I said a few years ago that the football stadium should have been done before the Tigue and got ripped to shreds on here. First, the big donation that russo gave didnt even cover the full cost and any money put up by rcaf and other donors should not have been done until football was finished
And Tony would have never got to see it. The stadium is still being paid for by the fans and the program. Getting kind of pathetic at this point to blame the lack of football stadium on baseball. What’s even weirder is nobody mentions that softball was done before everyone, then basketball and then baseball. Or instead of addressing the press box first we bowled in the south end zone which wasn’t needed and did the student side at a different time. We also didn’t have anyone pledging $35 million for the project until now
