Agree.
What I find bothersome is language in the music if used in public would get individuals fired and “canceled”. Not to even mention not acceptable for minors and would possibly start a scrum of the field of competition if directed at players. Hypocrisy.
I’m pretty comfortable saying most here would not tolerate discussions using that language continuously (or at all) in front of their spouse/children.
The dome did cut it back sound wise some during the season to their credit.
I've been thinking about the reaction to mobile tickets. Everyone complaining must never go to any events outside of Lafayette. I can't remember the last time I used a paper ticket for Astros games and I'm pretty sure the Saints & Pelicans also do mobile tickets. Here's what I find funny.
Stadiums get renovated and people have to move seats during construction. Inconvenience but fans adapt to a simple solution & continue supporting the program.
Covid makes us switch seating & limit attendance. Inconvenience but fans adapt to a simple solution & continue supporting the program.
Hurricane passes through the area. People come together, help each other out, & move forward.
Tornado passes through New Iberia. People come together, help each other out, & move forward.
UL switches to only mobile ticketing. Fans go crazy, find every possible thing that can go wrong, threaten not to buy tickets, threaten to quit supporting the program. Where did the Louisiana spirit go? First sign that things won't go perfect for some fans and they want to quit supporting on the spot. I saw on Facebook once response from a person saying they were part of the "older" generation that everyone says won't show up. They said they will adapt, figure it out, and still support the program. That's the attitude all fans should have!
Customers should adapt to the changing needs of a business. Wait. That’s backwards.
I’ll be there regardless, but framing this as people searching for things that can go wrong is disingenuous. The issues are glaring and immediately discernible. No searching necessary.
. . . print the tickets and put them in your pocket . . . Is it that hard . . . and make sure your printing has a good picture of the bar code . . . 4 pages of cheese just for this . . . Geeze . . .
the problem is that the administration is fixing an issue that wasn't broken, the only people getting printed tickets were the one's who requested them. Also their fix has created a problem for the fans that bought extra tickets and usually gave them away to others, sometimes complete strangers
I’ve been to saints playoff game with a quarter million people in and around the dome and my phone still works. 12k at Cajun field and you get no service. Not sure how me paying extra to get printed tickets effects you in anyway. If you could still use a screenshot it wouldn’t matter.
wow . . .
How many times have you had issues getting your mobile ticket scanned at a MLB, NFL, NBA, or any other venue? Answer is probably zero. Experience at UL football is every game is an adventure trying to get into the stadium one way or another. Mobile tickets were a total _____ show last couple of years. That is the issue I have.
With that said, zero issues for baseball. Hope USL football can figure it out. Yes, football USLs everything. Sometimes I wander why I even bother anymore.
This is prep for the new stadium.
Swift as swift can be.
Doesn't effect me at all, just making points in this debate. Has anyone thought that maybe the university did a cost-benefit analysis of how much money they lose on things like equipment & ink to print a few paper tickets. Of course, the typical reaction will be that the university is stupid and this is USLing it like always.
