I have to admit, even though Cayenne was considered one of the worst mascots in the country, I miss him mainly because of nostalgia reasons. I wish we could bring him back but a gator would be cool too. IMO.

Save the UL mascot! We may need a Go Fund Me campaign.

A link of boudin? A swamp guy? A pelican? Just nothing with a head big as an ice chest.

The best unofficial mascot we ever had was the “Fabulous Cajun Chicken”! But maybe we could use the “Crazy Cajun Roosta”? Unfortunately he doesn’t Roosta like he used to!!!!

Do you remember the Ice Gators and the theatrics the owners put on between periods, back in the early days? That brought in hundreds of fans. I know because I was there. This could happen at Cajun Field also. Two Gators with a period Cajun Leading the Band unto the field would be great. Also get one of the best Cajun bands, in period dress leading them out, maybe for a home coming game. Plan an entrance, something different for each game. Think man, think.

This guy has been around for a long, long time. He should be listened to.

I think we should convert the north end zone hill into a miniature swamp with live gators in it. Every time we score a touchdown we feed them a chicken!!!

Obviously those people never saw the Lamer’s green Gumby. That’s the absolute worst in history.

That gator thing is so tired and overdone. The Cajuns have the most unique team name in the country, and we want to throw that all away for a run-of-the-mill gator. Capturing the essence of what a Cajun is a putting it into a mascot is hard, but it is worth it.
