Imo, talent was definitely the issue with the offensive and defensive line last season.

Same. Feeling a lot better these past couple of weeks, but still think we come out a little slow. I think we will keep it close the first half against both Boise and Mcneese, but Boise pulls away second half and we pull away from Mcneese second half. Then we start to really gel.
Offensive line was fat and lazy. IMO, that's a coaching issue. Not to mention, hard to be disciplined when you're constantly running different QBs out there. Also continuity took a big hit when we lost Quave.
Defensive line, injured. And why Mario Osborne didn't get more PT, I'll never understand. But that defense was always designed to get pressure from outside guys like Darzel.
14 we had the Talent but Brodway was a Cancer in the locker room dividing the team from the coaching staff .
15 - Was a team with 10+ new starters a lack of leadership in the locker room and team was divided in the QB battle . Players also threaten Hud to not work them so hard in the offseason or they would walk.
I think this team has a chip on their shoulder with leadership and a hard nose attitude with the most potential talent we have ever seen. Hud lets his coaches coach and this team will go bowling
Guidry is familiar with Hudspeth's system and staff. He did a good job while he was at Western Kentucky. You right, McNeese has lost some good coaches and in general it takes time for a new staff working together for the first time. His comments are right on the mark though, it doesn't matter what happened in 2007, or how you played Nebraska or the history of the two programs. What will matter is how well each staff prepares for the game and how they preform in that game. UL should win the game, but you don't play the game on paper. If the McNeese fan was ____ hurt by his comments, that's his problem.
Haha at y'all sleeping on Boise. They are going to smash us. McNeese can beat us. Should they no way in hell, but that doesn't stop a loss from occurring.
Boo hoo, cry about someone pointing out the obvious (which you call name calling). People like you are not intelligent enough to see that the process matters. Everything I and many others said here was true. It's still true today. Sky is falling? The sky fell along time ago, when Farmer was allowed to make decisions for this university.
See you at CornerBar lackey.
He never said the baseball stadium would not be built. He correctly said that the project was delayed due to not being properly funded. He correctly said FarmerBROWN was clueless or hiding the lack of funding. You can take your pick, he was either clueless or inept, I suspect both.
You think UL having to borrow ten million dollars it had not planned to do isn't a calamity. It is, and the reason beyond looking stupid and inept, is it reduces our credit line for things we need and want in other areas.
The most important thing the Tigue debacle illustrated is that we are being led by a clown, and the Wizard of Martin Hall, everything they say is an effort to fool us.
In my world, as long as no laws are broken, results are far more important than the process and, "Alum81 is a dyslexic tool" is name calling.
WTF are you even talking about? EVERYONE understands there is a game one before game two..... Multiple threads on Boise game. Not one person on this board has a helmet to put on for Saturday; meaning it doesn't effing matter if we """overlook""" game one.
A thread was started about McNeese. So people are talking about it. Sometimes you geniuses pi55 me off man.
Back to the discussion.
QUIT BEING FREAKING SCARED OF MCNEESE. We will beat them and it should be in the same mold as any other non-D1 school beat down.
We will not play vanilla. The football does bounce funny so there "is a chance" that we might get uncomfortable in our chairbacks, but we will pull away from them easily.....unless of course the bookies get to a few players.
So all's well that ends well, right? Most of our facility expansions are now 90% bonds and loans.. And oh btw, farmer had 3 years to raise the Tigue money, didn't raise a dime outside of Russo and now has to raise $6 mil more to cover the rest (but the $10 mil was a "bridge loan".. Eyeroll). And then they have the nerve to tell their fanbase they don't have the $8.5 mil to purchase the TV production equipment. An Adlen report must, something that helps our cause to move conferences tremendously. I don't care what the end result is, if you don't operate properly, you hurt other aspects of the program.
So Mr 81, I'd I'm building a house with a set budget, and costs run up double the amount... As long as the house is built, who cares about costs, right??
"I don't care what the end result is",
This is where you and I really differ. I'm going to enjoy all the new improvements we have recently and are still making and let SF and Martin Hall sweat the details. You, on the other hand, will never stop worrying about the process long enough to enjoy what has been built.
