Re: FCS Attendance for 2022 & 5 Year Avg.
It all started with the F Trump video. Hudspeth and Administration doubled down on it, alienating 90% of the bandwagon base. They will not show back up, unless the atmosphere resembles a fricken block party every game day.
The administration should have developed all university property surrounding the athletic complex into an entertainment district. Bringing people into the area on game days.
Allow parking inside the fences on game day without a parking pass. Charge $10 for the grass and $15 for the pavement.
Stadium renovation HAS TO INCLUDE bars in both end zones. Just like this one.

Increase the Greek organizations and revitalize fraternity row. Allow each organization to grow dependent upon their involvement in university affairs specifically Cajun Athletics.
Implement a loyalty foundation fee to graduating students. $300 split 50/50 between the UL Foundation earmarked for their respective college and the RCAF. Build a thorough alumni database through this system.
Finally, Promote! Promote! Promote!
Re: FCS Attendance for 2022 & 5 Year Avg.
Biggest issue in short term is getting students to attend consistently. I recall hearing last season that once students got a little rowdy, some were escorted out. That seemed to have a cascading effect and fewer attended as the season progressed. Someone mentioned that the person who pushed such a policy should be fired. I don’t know who that person is or the details of the problem. I do know we can’t afford to have such a thing happen again. I do wish either Jay or Dave Schultz would have brought up the problem to Dr. Maggard in their recent interviews. Not only bring the subject up, but delve into issue. Perhaps next time he is interviewed, it will be brought up.

I recall hearing student leaders met with Dr. Maggard recently. Also heard that many were reluctant to avoid true concerns as they believed they may be reprimanded for doing so. If true, problem is very severe. If the issue is brought up to the AD in the future, I hope the reluctance to give true opinions by student leaders is addressed.

Blaming customers never increase sales. So no I can’t blame the fans who lost interest.

All I heard from Maggard was our students, and maybe Jaja Southern were not behaving in a way that the SBC felt appropriate.

Disturbing information about lack of leadership in the student leaders. They should never fear taking the proper stance. It’s crazy to say UL students are on the cutting edge of disengagement in college sports.
