I'm sure there were some that showed up because the chicken was in for a night but if this team was .500 they still wouldn't have come. It's because there is a buzz around about this team and they are really beating down the top half of the league now. I was concerned when we were losing to the middle to lower middle teams but we've really been impressive in the last few wins even having to overcome some poor shooting or great shooting from the other team.

Should be undefeated. Those 2 losses are head scratchers.

. . . this team is good . . . their coaches are good . . . they play in a nice gym . . . they are showing anyone who will look . . . sweet 16, baby . . .

Our Net ranking right now is 88. We are the fourth highest ranked team in the SBC behind JMU, USM and Marshall. Even if we win out I don't think it does much in terms of improvement and there are a lot of P5 bubble teams this year, particularly in the ACC and Big 10 who be selected ahead of someone like us. We have no meaningful wins on the road OOC and we ____ the bed against a UT team that could have helped our ranking. This is why you hear so much grief about our scheduling.

Not at all. When you're playing on the road and have a bad night, every team can beat you. But I'll admit, that one against CCU was brutal.

The coastal loss was absolutely a head scratcher. They are not a good basketball team and we had them beat. We let them off the hook. ODU on the other hand makes a little more sense. Anyway we are 20-4 and having some fun. Thursday is gonna be a good one.

Thursday is pretty much a must win. USM’s schedule after Thursday is real soft.

I get this line of thinking 100%. I do and its how I felt going into this season. But, if this team is able to close out a tougher than thought SBC with a regular season title but somehow falter to someone who is hot in the tournament, I will not see this season as a failure. I'm sorry.

I was a staunch Marlin supporter for years. However, as you state, this IS a special team. If we don’t make the tourney, we never will.
