From NewOrleans.com:
Defensive back Sean Thomas (5'10, 178) and tight end Brandon Lain (6'4, 240) are getting attention as well. Prairie View is on Lain. Utah State, ULM and Northern Illinois are on Thomas.

But Griffin picked up his first scholarship offer this week from Louisiana.
UL is coached by former Mississippi State receivers coach Mark Hudspeth. Griffin took an official visit there this weekend.
"It looks like that may be a real possibility for him," said South Panola coach Lance Pogue. "They have done some evaluation with his school work and everything and they are looking at it very hard. He's got a shot (at qualifying). He is excited about the opportunity. This has kinda popped up in the last few days and it has him a little perked up."
Griffin rushed for 2,670 yards and scored 40 touchdowns (37 on the ground) this season for South Panola, which finished 15-0 and won the Class 6A state championship. Griffin was named to the second team offense of the MaxPreps All-America team after helping lead South Panola to the No. 1 spot in several national rankings.

Griffin would be a huge get. Might be a sign and place guy, but i hear he is working hard to get eligible. Power back that runs hard on every play
Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: Football ready for recruiting weekend (Jan. 13)
Does he have no other offers because of grades?
Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: Football ready for recruiting weekend (Jan. 13)
bingo. Other wise he would have one from every SEC school
Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: Football ready for recruiting weekend (Jan. 13)

Re: Ragin' Cajun Blog: Football ready for recruiting weekend (Jan. 13)
yeah and sad thing is, he is the third best player on his team, think about that.
