(I will not make those public; however, a couple would surprise many of you...in particular, one). Next when asked to rate the various coaching staffs, he immediately responded UL had the best from top to bottom and he loved them. He continued and concluded by saying “Coach Napier is awesome and UL will have a major program in four years!” His excitement was evident catching me off guard. Reading the recent newspaper article Walker was quoted as saying he and his Dad loved the UL coaching staff. Everyone should recognize and accept the fact this young and mature ninth grader was speaking from his heart. Assuming Walker continues to improve, he will have offers from across the country. Knowing Jamie, he will encourage, push and provide his son with the best opportunities for a successful future. In my opinion, Walker will go with his heart and his Dad and family will support that decision. No doubt, the purple and gold blood runs thick but who knows at this point? Certainly a majority of you, including myself, ASSUMED Peyton Manning would have been a Rebel!!
Concluding, I have no idea what UL’s chances are with Walker; however, they are much better than winning the lottery, by far....
For the record, I bleed Vermilion and White! GEAUX CAJUNS!!
