Sorry bud he doesn't have confidence in anyone but himself or he would do the head coach thing strickly. Status Quo is where he is confidnt.

I think he is a good coach but he also had really good people around him and 2 of them are still here. Mike and Tim have been a huge part of building this program. Napier Also benefited From having a really experienced team have an extra year of eligibility. It would have been interesting to see if we played coastal and won the championship how many of those guys would have came back or moved on. I think the unfinished business brought a lot of them back for that extra year.

Wait, then why post that he did not have confidence in Des when you know that was not the case . . . You know that was never even remotely considered my Napier so why say it here . . ,

Its Napiers MO.
Still he didn't trust Desormeaux enough to do the job traditionally assigned to the position. But he then turns around and says he is his choice to do it all.
Can't trust that disconnect
It taking three years to right the ship shows Napier was both wrong and right.
Wrong at the time, but right now.

sorry but personnel probably had more to do with success or lack of success of play calling than anything each called and you know it . . .

I thought there were 2. I remembered the ULM one clearly. Couldn’t remember what the other was.

Dez is definitely a good offensive coach. What’s your criteria? Mine is scoring and winning. Both of which we are at the very least “good” at.

It’s possible for Napier to believe he’s better at play calling than Dez, while also thinking Dez would be a good coaching choice. Not sure why you think those things are mutually exclusive.

ULM missed field goals in back to back years against us. In 18 it would have tied the game. In 19 it would have won the game for them. We had already won the west but still that would have sucked.

Winning has nothing to do with being a good OC. You can have the best offense in the country and not win.
We have way too many lapses for me to say he is a good offensive coordinator. The exact same things I was saying about Napier. Does he do something’s well, yes but I do think our offense could be better with the talent we are showing at the skill positions. I also hate settling for FGs after good drives.
We will never agree on this and that’s fine. In the end we are winning and that’s what matters.
Re: LGT Final: Louisiana 23, Texas State 17
We are in the top 35 in just about every offensive category, 7-1 and on the verge of the top 25.

So are we winning because of how good our defense is? How the hell are we 7-1? How are we a top 35 offense? Top 4 in the belt. Give me a break. No OC is perfect or calls a perfect game. But he is demonstrably better than average.
