Since false connotations, seem to rule the day is Vermilion off the table too?
Originally vermilion was either made from highly toxic mineral Cinnabar or the crushed bodies of female Kermes vermilio.
Digging so deep like they did with Bineaux will alway bring up negatives.
Just pay attention to what the final product looks and acts like and quit running from your shadow.

Honestly, I disagree. The way he and other folks have lashed out about this has been cringey, and the inflexibility behind the Albino name itself shows a real “my way or the highway” type mentality amongst the Albineaux supporters. He even publicly posted “You don’t have to like the character. You don’t have to like that it’s happening, but it is happening” and brushing aside any concerns about the name or critiques on the concept in general.
They’re on Twitter this week posting contact info, and he specifically is attacking her background publicly. It’s gone way past a grassroots mascot campaign and has taken on a straight up adversarial tone this week.
Would progress years ago have been better? Yeah I’m not gonna disagree with that. But the persistence and recent reaction this week even after UL sent a polite “thanks but no thanks” last year ensures they won’t have a seat at the table anytime soon (if there is a table to speak of anytime soon).

The American Alligator.
He and every Alligator in the State of Louisiana encompass a history of a specie that goes back, no one knows how far back. Maybe millions of years. They're in every waterway in Louisiana, including our own Cypress Lake. They deserve Tremendous respect.
I believe we could all agree that a live feed of video from our swamp on campus, sent to each of our stadiums would be a great way to show others how special this place is.

Hhmph. The only cringy aspect is the rampant Albinophobia leakage over from Facebook. There were only slight signs of it on this site the previous two years.
As someone who lives 20 miles south of Lafayette here in Albiville, I resent that cringy distane.
To get over the phobia, don't focus on the back story focus on the awesomeness in front of you.

I was hoping UL would give Cory thousands annually to maintain the game day spirit booster.
I don't know about currently, but Authement told me he gave the guys who run athleticnetwork.net thousands annually to maintain that site. I want to say $10G but it might have been $7G. I just remember it being double what it cost to run Ragin Pagin.
Get behind it Louisiana. Don't treat the concept like an Albitross around your neck.

Awesome idea.

Thank you. And yes, they are extremely dark. It seems they have been personified as green during everyone's lifetime. Kids grow up thinking they're green because of every coloring book, cartoon, et al. In that line of thinking is Gainesville. We are not. Louisiana has our own stock in our own Swamp. And that stock is rising. Rise Up.

No they would not. Anybody trying to enter the game with their face randomly covered wouldn't be allowed to enter the game either. There's a mask law in Louisiana for a reason.

If you haven't noticed, that's how a vocal minority of the fanbase always act. There way is the ONLY way things should be done. If anyone disagrees they always resort to personal attacks then post university employees contact information & picture anywhere they can.
