The conference makes the TV deals and there is nothing the university standing alone can do. We show up when, where and how they say. The only way around it would be to go independent.

If the play clock was set to the same calibration as the clock for time in between posts people would see even more delays

Get that. But we also can’t tell people how to be fans. The world is changing and fast paced sports just tend to be more interesting. American Football has not caught on globally, there might be a reason for that.

My question is: what the hell are the TV timeouts even for?

If you watch on ESPN+, they go to commercial that is usually just a static image that says "Commercial Break"

Newer stadium better equipment at the Russo. It was built for today's technology I will bet the cell signal, wifi... will be much better at the newly renovated stadium. We have a 1971 model and people want the amenities of a 2023 model.

I am not one to scroll during a football game but I have no problem at all pulling up a roster on my phone. I find it works better if I turn off Wi-Fi and go strictly cell.

I haven’t slept in a dorm in about 20 years, more of a holiday inn express kind of guy now. That comment shows you know about as much on how tv contracts work with espn and the sunbelt as much as you know about how the offseason process of a football program.

Go show that to Doc Maggard and watch him laugh at you.

Arkansas State head coach Butch Jones wasn't too happy with fans after his team's 37-17 win against Louisiana on Saturday.

Jones called out fans for not showing up to the game on Saturday.

The official attendance for Arkansas State's win against Louisiana was 15,881. Centennial Bank Stadium has a capacity of 30,382.

"Thank the fans that did show up today with beautiful weather, I'd like to thank them for coming," said Jones. "We need to do something. I'm going to challenge our student body. You know, we got a team that's won five out of seven.

We represent Arkansas State. We need to start making Centennial Bank Stadium a home field advantage."

"I'm very grateful for the people that came out today," added Jones. "Grateful for everything that they do for our program, but we need to get more people in the stands.

This is a community team. It starts with our student body. So I don't know if I have to walk across campus and continue to meet, but that's why you go to college. It's part of the collegiate experience to be a part of it and it was unacceptable today."

Sometimes we think with our bellies, instead of our heads. For me the question is, Will it work? Will it bring more students to the stadium?

Or will they flip him off and refuse to come?

Things that seem obvious often don't work. I guess that's why you do serious research... what works? What doesn't?

The SBC TV deal is irrelevant and unneeded.

It is too late for the independant gravy train though. The super conferences going to 9 games makes going independant almost impossible.

It was just going to be a pitt stop any way.
