It's the knee, he isn't healthy and is actually hindering the team I think by starting. He can't move very well on defense and it's starting to show. I think he needs to sit a week or 2 and try and get it stable enough to finish the year.
Re: Mike Murphy Meets the Media
This may have already been stated, but who is going to assume the responsibilities of Coach Marlin on the court today and tomorrow. I know Coach Murphy stated that they were going to split the responsibilities throughout the week, but someone has to be the guy who actually assumes the duties of the HC on the court.
Brock Morris is the one with HC experience, but Neil Harden has been with Marlin the longest. The other option is Coach Murphy who has coached as a HC at the college level with women's basketball.
It will be interesting to see what it looks like on the court and who is the main voice of the team.

I stand corrected by those stats. But I still think we only have 7 guys that can really contribute down this stretch at the end of the season if we are going to win the west, especially this Texas State team. We do miss Kobe dearly.

Neil Harden is the head coach this weekend. Texas State was his scout.

Thanks. I assume if we win these games that they will not be attributed to Coach Marlin. I know he is close to becoming the winningest coach in SBC history, but I doubt he will get credit for these if we win.

Not sure how that works.

Director of Basketball Operations Mike Murphy filled in for head coach Bob Marlin
.....He might have kissed the Blarney Stone?

This isn’t about Marlin. The guy who is coaching the game gets the victory, or loss. At least that’s how I see it.

Kevin Foote addressed the HC issue for the weekend in an article which appears in today's Acadiana Advocate. While it is true that Coach Hardin led practices this week due to scouting responsibilities, Coach Morris will actually be the in game head coach. That will be true for both games. That decision may have come after Mike Murphy spoke to the media on Monday. I presume Coach Marlin made it.

In my opinion, the designer of the team, the head coach should get the win or loss.
The head of the division gets credit or blame for the product even if he never touched the assembly line.

Seems your view prevails.

The announcers alluded to this, Marlin gets win #200.
Re: Mike Murphy Meets the Media
Congratulations on #200 win Coach Marlin!
I also hope you are going to be able to be on the court next weekend.
