If you recall, I said the same thing about Rice when people were saying they were terrible. They’re 73rd in the latest RPI. And the Cajuns beat them in that series as well. On the road.
There’s a pretty big difference between sharp play and sweeping a bad team and sleepwalking through the series and escaping barely with two wins.

Well sweeps are never a given, no matter who you play. And winning two of three is winning two of three.
Again, every team loses games they shouldn’t lose. At every level above little league. The Cajuns have probably lost a couple more than they should have. But they’ve also won 19 of the 28 they’ve played. And 6 of 9 in the conference.
I would guess that any realistic fan would have taken 19-9 and 6-3 at this point if given the option before the year began.

Tonight is a perfect example of why I can never wrap my head around the "a win is a win" mindset.
