I was expecting to see some new wrinkles on offense especially since this is the guy's background. The best offensive player he's got is Ragus. He barely uses him tonight. He called the game in the first half like he was playing a Madden game. Hopefully he's saving something for our conference opponents. So far I haven't seen anything special out of him.
Ultra. We were not bad because Hud was a crappy coach, we were bad because we got put on probation and Hud struck out in recruiting. Napier already has the offense looking a little better. Unfortunately, it will take a couple of years before we see progress on the defensive end. Remember, he inherited a defensive unit with no playmakers. That side of the ball will take another year or two to get fixed. I still think 6-6 is a reasonable goal and would show recruits we are on an upward trajectory.Quote:

I only ask this because we judged Hud pretty harshly his last year. It was explained that we're now taking a step up with this new guy. Not to mention the money involved in all this.
