We know what we have..............basically a high school all star team that's still growing and learning how to work together. We need to keep these guys, add a few more, and add maturity. I don't know how far we'll go this year, but we should be solid next year and on out. People will get excited and come back like they did in Marlin's first year as these young guys start getting confidence and reaching their potential. In the meantime, we don't need the handful of "Boo Birds" to show up everytime we lose a close one.
i dont care what anybody says
this team fought there butts off
thats one constant I have seen throughout this season, this team will fight till the final buzzer
I really think it would be a different story had Coleby stayed. Although Long has been REALLY good on the boards as a freshman, I don't he's a true big man. He spends a lot of time lurking around the 3-pt line.
I definitely have not given up on Marlin as a coach. I repsect his old shcool 'my way or the highway' and I'm the HMFIC here, but today it's hard to findtop tier recruits that can conform to that when they can go elsewhere and be ta-taaad and run the show.
It was a fun game to watch last night. We had the game won in regulation before a silly turnover from a freshman. Growing pains.
Hit a few free throws and there ain't no OT much less double OT. I wasn't there but I know they played well enough to win they just couldn't seal the deal. Even if it was ugly
This team could have easily give up several time last night but didn't. NO it wasn't a win but if you can not see the progress the "TEAM" is making then I do not think you are being honest or you have not been to many games. I do not know how this season will turn out but I will be there for all of the home games and the conference tournament. The crowd was small but I felt this was the most the crowd had gotten into a game in a while, at least the second half and OTs. Hopefully once school starts we will have more students back at the games.
Geaux Cajuns!!
I don't think many fans were into the game. I don't understand that. I saw some leaving at the end of regulation and some leaving at the end of the 1st OT. Why? You've just sat through 2 hours of entertainment and you gonna leave before the grand finale'? WTF. Heck, I stood the last 5 minutes of regulation and both overtimes. I look over to my right(I'm in 112) and not a soul is standing and cheering for their team. Sitting on their hands. Come on people.
I guess I shouldn't be POd about those folks who made it out on that rainy night.
Then I find out I missed out on the best Cajunredzone chat ever.
Not a good morning for BC. LOL. Rant off.
I could not disagree more. Things are not being run the right way. This is now going on 10 years of apathy and pathetic performance of which Marlin has been part of the last three years. I believe we have blinders on just like with football until Hudspeth got here. Marlin is not the guy to turn things around and it doesn't matter what is written as people are voting with butts in seats as in none. Sooner or later Farmer must realize that the basketball program is not paying for itself anymore. This is not a charity we need a successful team and all we have is Obama like excuses that make no sense. Oh by the way, its not because we lost last night it because we are 6 and 12 and lost to Texas Southern and others teams we should not have lost too. We need a change and the end of this season would not be to soon!
