The funny part about this thread (before the diversion) is that no one really knows what is right. Was the OP speaking facts? Maybe. Could they have been embellished? Sure. Is the coaches email a full representation of reality? Maybe. Could she have gotten a talking to as a result of all this, and it forced a change in her opinion? Sure.

I guess we’ll never know…but that’s why this site is great, because we can talk about it.

I don’t know his base salary. But it doesn’t change the fact that you don’t profit from parents. You want more money do like your brother and move to the college ranks or change professions. In football we payed a nutrition fee that feed kids before games and after long road trips. It also bought the Gatorade drink mix. It didn’t pay Dane’s grocery and daycare bill. See the difference.

To try out for a high school team of any sort all you should need is a physical and proper equipment ie glove, cleats, and pants. Parents should never have to pay for a kid to try out for their school. This isn’t the select model. PERIOD.

All that extra money he exploited had no bearing on his win lost record, nor did it make him a better coach. I liked everything about the way he approached the game except for raping my bank account for no reason other than to subsidize his income.

Don’t believe everything you hear when it come to that. It was mainly about the extra charge. To be honest most parents actually fought for her and wanted to keep her. Not the one from your home town though. If that’s who you are listening to? Don’t. Trust me.
