Dumb question, but what do these coaches do with all this money? Most live in "college towns" which arent that expensive to begin with, and then most expenses are taken care of anyway. Not trying to sound like bernie, but just curious.

Shouldn't we care, since this is setting up an arms race for coaches salaries that will eventually price us out of FBS football altogether. Ayn Rand doesn't apply to everything.

She applies perfectly to this. Eventually the subsidized ride will end, and the market will correct.

Not so fast my friend...if this subsidized ride turns College Football into Carthage after the 3rd Punic War, then there won't be anything left over. Leaving things up to allow the market to correct itself doesn't ever take into account blatant manipulation of the market and it's long lasting effects on screwing up the dynamic to the detriment of the entire system at large.

Once the manipulation costs are too great....and the detriment you speak of too damaging , the system will collapse. I for one welcome our future free market overlords.
Wait, are we still talking about football?

Nope...European trade dynamics. I can't wait to own a Peugot.
