Why do we hate our students!!!

There's no logic behind their use of Family Weekend as an excuse. So what happens against Texas State on October 7th? Things go back to normal? What if families show up that weekend?

The way the administration is handling this is head scratching.

The solution should be to leave the students alone. When their "Plan B" gets sabotaged by closing down the Greek houses, at that point that's not on the students if they don't show up to the game.

Once again why doesn't the administration support the students? Anyone that is saying that I am backing Coach Chris on this is stupid. Friends with him personally as I am with others against him on this thread. If anyone reads my post they would see that I am questioning him.

I said it before the season. I thought we were on the precipice of a revival of the Louisiana football fan base. I also said that the one thing we couldn't have happen was for Martin Hall to screw it up. Well, we have a great student turnout, a high scoring team at the beginning of a run and a QB that has everyone giddy with the possibilities, and what do they do?

Out of the blue, here comes Martin Hall, doing what they do best.

I think it would be pretty funny if every fan opposed to this nonsense would bring a tarp from their house and go cover some seats in the student section. We used to mock Tech’s tarps. We certainly won’t need those student seats Saturday and in the future if this sabotage continues. Let’s help the university cover up the empty seats.

Get some signs made and fill all the empty student seats with letters to spell out "F A M I L Y D A Y"

So…USL cannot risk alcohol consumption by college students, nor tolerate foul language (yet they condone music with themes of killing people and sexual violence towards women).

So they’ll go down the road, drink and cheer along while the band plays “Neck”. STTDB…

I'm hearing the University is showing signs of backing down. But their tactic is to act like nothing ever happened and the mob made a big deal out of nothing. I think many of us here know that isn't the case.

In all seriousness, how can we rally the fanbase to make light of this situation?

This issue is bigger than the Greeks. The thread title needs to be changed to, "Why do we hate anything that doesn't bring in Federal funding?"

I was telling Gerry this morning, even if we win this battle, they're miles ahead in the war. We only know about this latest boondoggle because enough people got ____ed off and started sharing info. Just imagine all the under-cutting going on within that DoS office. Again, it's not a wonder why our student engagement and participation is ass.
