Yes, I have not had anything bad coming out of the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The Heaven Hill Distillery has 108 different brands. Thanks for the info and enjoy.
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
At Spec's in Tomball, I picked up some Blanton's and my son for Christmas gave to me Cotton Hollow TN bourbon whiskey Batch 001. Hoping it is tasteful.

I don't know if that is accurate; but it does taste great! Still very smooth.
That is why I bought 7 bottles of each, to mix. I use the Antique 1.75 L with a 1 L 12 YO. Not quite 60/40 but close enough. I enjoy it very much.
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
I also have some glenmorangie 10 from Christmas. Already finished the knob creek smoked maple
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
I bought 1 bottle of whiskey in the last year. Last May to be exact, Crown Royal Black.
I 'still' (npi) have a half an inch left in the bottle. Any suggestions on a replacement?
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
Turbine, just "Rose, close your eyes, and enjoy"
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
Also got some no jeremiah weed for Christmas of course now onto mardi gras and one king cake vodka
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
Enough of this stuff. If you believe in the area and our main foundation here, you must support the poor, starving Catholic folks who invented Bourbon in Kentucky (after arriving from Maryland); Plus, our GGGGGG Grandpa "Basil Hayden" would not be pleased if you didn't try his fine Bourbon. Free Ad over. Love me some Kentucky bourbon even if it's not Pappy's - by marriage.
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
I could always get some good old fashioned shine since I do live 5 miles from the moonshine capital of the world
Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
If you like rye whiskey, I found some high west double rye (blend of 2 rye whiskeys) and is exceptional. Highly recommend it if u can find it

I would go with the Eagle Rare 10 year old, cannot be beat for the money.

Yes Eagle Rare is the brand. Most places have the bottle for under $30.

It has been a while but I was in College Station on Wednesday evening and I can say they have the best bourbon bar outside of Kentucky or Louisiana that I have seen. If you are traveling to College Station stop into the Republic Steakhouse and treat yourself to some fine bourbon.
I was able to sample these two fine gems.

Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
Ok you bourbon guys (and gals where applicable); what is a good bourbon drink that you would consider refreshing during the summer; refreshing as in a gin and tonic?
I'll hang up and listen.
Note: The last sentence has been used before but it is not trademarked and I really like it!

If you go to Joey's you can find a great "No. 3 Smoked Honey Whiskey Sour" mix, just add to your favorite bourbon over ice.

Re: Summer Bourbon/Scotch/whiskey thread
Another option is Firefly Sweet Tea Bourbon, mix it with some lemonade and you have a great Arnold Palmer, uh I mean John Daly.
