Just thinking of coach Stokley
I use to say about Nelson Stokley, "he was good but who wouldn't be, with quarterbacks like Mitchell and Delomme."
What I was missing at the time was Stokley's real strength and that was his, ability to adapt his game plan to match his personnel.
Coach Stokley didn't try to smash a oversized square peg into a round hole.
And because of that he was successful at a time when Louisiana was playing the toughest schedules in its history.
He also changed his kickoff strategy based on a question I asked him at Pete's. Made me feel special.
Thinking of Stokley.

I have tremendous respect for what he did for UL. He was a fantastic coach. I wish he had more support from MH, we wouldn't be where we are now. No telling what we could have done.

Coach Angie T bemoans the same thing.
Re: Just thinking of coach Stokley
But without RP back then who told him he wasn't getting the support he needed from martin hall?
We need to keep every coach until their child plays for them....
Does desormeaux have any children?

Oddly, I don't think Brandon played football at Comeaux. I think he was a basketball player. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.
