NUMBERS: Friday's full-pads morning session lasted one hour and 55 minutes from the first-period horn until the end of conditioning.
The squad will hold the first of four two-a-day sessions today, going in full pads for an 8 a.m. workout and working in shorts and shoulder pads at 3:30 p.m. in the first afternoon session of fall camp.
Temperature was 88 degrees with 57 percent humidity, resulting in a heat index of 94, at the mid-point of practice. That was well down from readings at the start, when high humidity drove the heat index to 102 degrees at 8:20 a.m.
"We've only had one IV," Bustle said, "so we're keeping our fingers crossed. It's always hot in two-a-days."
HURTS: Freshman tight end Matt Ulm of Mandeville went down with a left leg injury during middle drill, but remained on the sideline with an ice pack for the remainder of practice and was expected to be back in action today.

Sophomore linebacker Jonathon Vance was limited with a sore hamstring and freshman walk-on running back Matt Vance was limited with a shoulder injury.
A KICKER'S LIFE: After UL's kickers went 5-for-5 on field goal tries to end Thursday's workout, Friday's practice-enders were not as successful. Drew Edmiston and Stokka Brown both missed from 42 yards and Tyler Albrecht missed from 47 after hitting one from 42.
The wrapup kicks were into a breeze that had aided them in kickoff drills, where kicks were consistently reaching the end zone.
TO SENIOR OR NOT TO SENIOR: Tight end Kevin Belton of New Orleans-Brother Martin and linebacker Tre' Green of Bastrop are both listed as seniors on UL's roster, but neither donned a white jersey to take a picture with the senior group during Friday afternoon's Media Day session.
Both were non-qualifiers during their 2003 redshirt freshman season, but both are on track to fulfill academic requirements and earn back their fourth year of eligibility next season (2007). Belton needs only 13 credit hours and Green 25 during the upcoming fall, spring and summer sessions to receive their fourth year.
Without those two, UL's official senior photo Friday included 20 players along with Bustle.
FAN DAY: Sunday's schedule includes a morning practice in pads and shorts, and the annual Fan Day is set for 6-7 p.m. Sunday at Cajun Field. The UL football, soccer, cross country and volleyball teams will be on hand.
Borden's ice cream sandwiches and Pepsi products from Acadiana Bottling will be available, and the first 500 youths will receive a Cajun football pendant. Fans are asked to park on the east side (Cajundome side) of the field and enter the playing surface through the tunnel.
