UL Football Looking at our recruiting class from a different angle

Recruiting is not over yet and we will probably add a few and lose a few but looking at what we have so far on a depth chart (not in any particular order) makes it more impressive to me.

    QB Devin Williams
    RB Abdule Levier
    FB Travis Cones
    WR Kemmie Lewis
    WR Jarvis Murchisson
    TE Chad Beck
    OT Chris Clark
    OG Zack Leger
    C Ed Fane
    OG Will Chance
    OT Brandon Cox

    DE Eddie McCray
    DT Darryl Blappart, Chris Cutler
    DT Ken Haynes, Travis Ferguson
    DE Jason Guidry
    OLB Mark Risher
    ILB Joe Scott
    ILB Rashon Brown
    OLB Tre' Green
    CB Jarrett Jones, Fernandez Kingsby
    S Ceandris Brown
    CB Ricky Thomas, Antoine Spann

I put him at WR because I have heard he is moving there, we do need another WR whether Jarvis plays DB or WR. With his speed I hope he stays at DB, I know that was what we recruited him for. I have heard we may lose a WR recruit from last year to JC.

I haven't heard that from anyone, but you may be right.Tyler Wheeler is the kid that might be transfering to a JC.If he is not there in the spring,we will have our answer.Josh Harrison will be tried at RB during the spring.Coach wanted to use his speed in that position. We could see alot of moving around during the spring, that's the time to experiment.

If Harrison stays at RB and Murchisson stays at DB and Wheeler does go JC, we will be very short on young WR's.

Can Jerome Coleman apply for another year?

  9. UL Football Guru, Fox is right

Murchisson requested to play WR this spring. When he was recruited we were heavy at WR (Stamps, Dugas, Morgan, George, Sampy, Crist, Bartel) and light at DB (Tillman, Taylor, Dauzart, Hicks), so he thought his best chance to play as a frosh would be at DB. Everyone thought he would be a qualifier, but he ended being a prop. As a high school junior, many people thought he was a better WR than DB anyway, so hopefully that will work out well for him. Stamps will sure appreciate another burner to go along with Kemmie Lewis to get the safeties off him and let him work.

How about Devin Williams? That's sweeeeeeet.

I have it from a very good source that Murchisson is to be a wr and that the defensive coaches were lementing it. my source and a buck gets you a cup of coffee at micky dees, but I think he would not tell me something that he had not gotten from the highest sources. now if we get something special at wr this may not happen.
