    Black is the new tan.

UL sported a pewter tan in the late 1950's which was before they vowed never to go stupid again by calling a non school color, a school color.

Evidently if you can't keep traditions you can't keep vows.

Creame White was Louisiana White, they could never get those 1901 uniforms any whiter than Creme White.

Black is a universal color, with universal uses, but that won't make it official.

There was never an ounce of black in the football uniform in my life time until Baldwin. There was no black in any athletic uniform through my college days for sure which ended in early 90s. I don't recall the years that baseball and basketball introduced black? I think both were after Baldwin.

I challenge anyone, on any official document put out by the university where they list our school colors, to find black listed as one?

Not fighting anything. You said black has been a school color as long as you can remember. Just pointing out your memory might be fading if it only goes back to the late 90s.
