GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The University of Southwestern Louisiana extended the nation's current longest losing streak to 14 games Saturday, rallying in the second half for a 21-10 victory over East Carolina before 27,726 fans at Ficklen Stadium. USL, 3-1, struggled through a first half of missed opportunities to trail 7-6 to the now winless Pirates at intermission after former Catholic High of Baton Rouge place-kicker Patrick Broussard had given the Ragin' Cajuns a 6-0 lead

OXFORD, Miss. -- Place-kicker Patrick Broussard's 59-yard field-goal attempt with 26 seconds remaining fell just short of the goal posts Saturday, enabling Ole Miss to overcome a furious late rally by Southwestern Louisiana and slip by with a 21-20 victory over the Ragin' Cajuns before 33,500 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. USL, 4-2, executed a perfect onside kick with 1:16 to play following a 36-yard touchdown pass from Brian Mitchell to Willie Culpepper. The touchdown
