  4. UL Baseball Re: Baseball 1913

A considerable rivalry has developed between the UL and LSU baseball programs in recent years as both have become regular contenders for regional and national honors.

It’s a rivalry that goes back a lot farther than most people think.

The teams played twice in 1913. Then SLII had a pretty good team, having beaten Loyola (1-0), Louisiana College twice (18-2 and 12-4), St. Charles College (5-3), and Louisiana Normal twice (8-4 and 12-1). But the local nine couldn’t master LSU, losing twice to the Bengals (4-3) and (8-4).

But the next year, 1914, was different.

    The rest of the story

They should bring these jerseys back as throwbacks

T-Bine as you get these oldies back...just wondering about the French language and how much it was spoken...I can remember a freshman (Adrien Mentel from NO) listening in disbelief at some guys before practice one day!!! That would be around 1966!!!
