    15 Ks. We're starting to pitch well, need to cut down the errors though.

    This happens from time to time. A pitcher feels a bit tense with a runner at third in a crucial situation ... and he speeds things up ... and does not come to a complete stop.

    This happened to Arizona State in 2005 when they played host Cal State Fullerton in the Super Regional round. The game was tied 2-2 in the B9th with Titan runners at second and third and one out. ASU coach Pat Murphy decided to intentionally walk the CSF hitter to load the bases. With a 3-0 count and the ASU pitcher delivering ball four, the home plate umpire called a balk as the pitcher did not quite come to a discernible stop. CSF wins game #1 3-2.

    I'm inclined to agree. That play just about sums up the game to this point.
